Searching for Microblading in Toronto?
We Offer Something Better.
Victoria Studio doesn't offer traditional microblading — not because we can't, but because our clients deserve better. Nano brows and powder brows outperform microblading on every measure: longevity, skin compatibility, healing, and the quality of your final result.
What Is Microblading? A Complete Overview.
Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow technique that uses a manual handheld tool fitted with a row of tiny needles to create fine incisions in the upper layers of the skin. Pigment is deposited into these cuts to mimic individual brow hairs.
Microblading became widely popular between 2015 and 2020 as one of the first accessible permanent makeup techniques to produce realistic hair-stroke results. While it can produce attractive results on dry skin in the short term, the industry has since moved beyond it.
- Manual tool — no digital machine used
- Creates physical micro-cuts in the skin
- Typically lasts 12–18 months before fading
- Requires more healing time due to incisions
- Can blur and spread on oily or mature skin
- Less suitable for sensitive or textured skin
Why Victoria Studio Doesn't Offer Microblading
This decision isn't about what we're unable to do — it's about what we refuse to offer when something better exists. As a certified PMU artist and educator with over six years of experience and training across Europe and Canada, Victoria's commitment is to your best possible outcome.

Not Suitable for All Skin Types
Clients with oily, mature, or sensitive skin often see microblading results fade unevenly, blur quickly, or fail to retain pigment. Since a large portion of our Toronto and Etobicoke clients have these skin types, we offer techniques that work beautifully for everyone.
More Skin Trauma
Microblading uses a blade to create physical incisions, resulting in more inflammation, scabbing, and recovery time. It also carries a higher risk of scarring if performed on unsuitable skin. At Victoria Studio, client safety and comfort are non-negotiable.
Results Don't Last as Long
Microblading typically lasts 12–18 months before fading and losing definition. Nano brows and powder brows last 18–36 months — and continue to look clean as they fade, rather than blurring or spreading into the surrounding skin.
Technology Has Moved Forward
Today's digital PMU devices produce hair strokes that are just as realistic — if not more precise — than microblading, with none of the drawbacks. The nano needle deposits pigment at a consistent depth, creating uniform strokes that heal beautifully and retain their definition far longer.
Two Techniques. Both Better Than Microblading.
At Victoria Studio, we offer two advanced eyebrow permanent makeup techniques. Both outperform microblading in longevity, skin compatibility, and healed result quality.
Nano Brows
A digital PMU device with an ultra-fine nano needle creates individual hair-like strokes that blend seamlessly with your natural brow hairs. The most realistic, hair-stroke finish available — without any blade or cutting.
- Ideal for: dry to normal skin, hair-stroke lovers
- Lasts: 18–36 months
- Healing: 5–7 days, gentle and minimal
- Look: hyper-realistic, feathered, natural
Powder Ombre Brows
Gentle pixel shading creates a beautifully soft gradient — lighter at the front, deeper toward the tail — like professionally applied brow powder. The most versatile technique for all skin types, especially oily and mature.
- Ideal for: all skin types, oily and mature skin
- Lasts: 1–3 years
- Healing: 5–7 days, minimal flaking
- Look: soft, filled-in, polished makeup finish

Our Services Are Designed for You If…
You have sparse or thin brows
Nano or powder brows create lasting fullness — even with very little natural hair to work with.
You fill in your brows daily
Wake up with done brows every morning — no pencil, no powder, no mirror needed.
You have oily or mature skin
Our machine techniques hold beautifully on all skin types where microblading often fails.
You've had bad microblading before
Victoria can assess your existing brows and recommend the best correction approach.
You want a natural result
Soft, elegant brows that enhance your features — never harsh, tattooed, or artificial-looking.
You're active — gym, swimming
Long-lasting results that hold up to your lifestyle without touch-ups every 12 months.
Gentler Healing Than Microblading
One of the biggest advantages of nano brows and powder brows is the gentler healing process. No incisions means less inflammation and a faster recovery — typically back to normal within a week.
Slightly Darker
Brows appear more saturated than the final result. Keep them dry and avoid touching. Completely normal.
Light Flaking
Surface skin flakes lightly. Do not pick or scratch — apply the healing ointment as directed.
Brows Soften
Color settles toward the true healed shade. May look slightly uneven temporarily.
Fully Healed
Brows are completely healed. The touch-up session now perfects density and final color.
Aftercare Guidelines
- Keep brows dry for 72 hours after treatment
- Avoid sweating, saunas, steam, and swimming during healing
- Do not apply makeup over the brow area until fully healed
- Avoid retinol and exfoliating acids near the brow area
- Use only the aftercare ointment recommended by your artist
- Apply SPF on brows once healed to protect pigment longevity

Microblading & Alternative Brow Questions
No. Victoria Studio does not offer traditional microblading. We offer nano brows and powder brows — two advanced machine-based techniques that deliver superior results across all skin types. If you came searching for microblading, we are confident that after your free consultation you will understand exactly why our techniques are the better choice.
They share the same goal — realistic, hair-stroke brows — but the method is completely different. Microblading uses a manual blade to cut the skin. Nano brows use a digital PMU machine with a single ultra-fine needle to deposit pigment without any cutting. Nano brows are gentler, longer-lasting, and suitable for all skin types including oily, mature, and sensitive skin.
Yes. If you have had microblading done previously by another artist, Victoria can assess your brows during a free consultation and advise on the best approach — whether that's a correction, a touch-up, or waiting for further fading first. A consultation is required before any work is performed on previously tattooed brows.
Both techniques typically last 18–36 months depending on skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, and aftercare routine. This is significantly longer than traditional microblading. Touch-up sessions every 12–18 months are recommended to maintain color intensity and definition.
Most clients find nano brows very comfortable — significantly more so than microblading, because no blade is used. A professional topical numbing cream is applied before treatment begins and reapplied as needed. The sensation is typically described as light pressure or a gentle tickling.
Both are superior to microblading — but which is better for you depends on your skin type and desired finish. Nano brows create realistic individual hair strokes and are best for dry to normal skin. Powder brows create a soft, shaded gradient and are best for oily, mature, or sensitive skin. Not sure? A free consultation will give you a clear, honest recommendation based on your unique features.
