Becoming a permanent makeup artist was not something I planned. It was a passion that slowly grew with every step I took — from learning the basics of beauty to mastering advanced techniques, and eventually teaching others. Today, as a certified permanent makeup artist and educator, I feel grateful for the path that brought me here. This is my story.
Where It All Began
My journey started with a simple love for beauty. I always admired how small details — such as brows, lashes, and lip color — could transform a person’s confidence. I loved watching people feel beautiful, not because of heavy makeup, but because their natural features were enhanced.
At first, this was just a hobby. I practiced shaping brows, matching colors, and understanding face symmetry. I didn’t know it would become a full-time career one day. But the more I learned, the more I wanted to grow.
Taking My First Step Into Permanent Makeup
Permanent Makeup course (PMU) was still new when I first discovered it. I remember seeing the results and thinking, “Wow… this is art.” It wasn’t just makeup. It was precision, symmetry, color theory, and creativity combined.
I decided to take my first beginner course — and that changed everything.
Learning PMU opened a new world. It was challenging, but exciting. I learned how:
- skin reacts to pigment
- different needles create different results
- every client has a unique brow shape and lip color
- proper sanitation and safety are essential
Holding the machine for the first time felt like holding a paintbrush. I knew this was where I belonged.
Training, Certifications & Endless Practice
Once I started, I didn’t stop. I invested time, energy, and money into becoming the best artist I could be. I took multiple certifications from top educators and international trainers. I studied techniques from Europe, Asia, and North America.
My training covered:
- Nano brows
- Microblading & shading
- Lip blush
- Eyeliner enhancement
- Color correction
- Skin types & contraindications
- Mapping & symmetry
- Pigment science
- Needle configurations
- Machine techniques
- Sanitation & client care
But what mattered even more than training was practice. I practiced on paper, latex, friends, and models for hours every day. Permanent makeup requires patience and a steady hand — and the only way to build that is repetition.
Over time, I grew more confident. My work became cleaner, softer, and more natural. Clients started recommending me to friends and family. That is when my career truly took off.
Becoming a Full-Time PMU Artist
Working with real clients changed my perspective. Every face is different, and every story is different too. Some clients wanted fuller brows after years of over-plucking. Some wanted lip blush because their natural color had faded. Some simply wanted to save time in the morning.
What I loved the most was the emotional transformation. Seeing someone look in the mirror and smile — really smile — made every hour of training worth it.
As my skills grew, so did my business. I upgraded my equipment, improved my studio setup, and focused on giving clients a comfortable, safe, and beautiful experience. Every appointment became a chance to create art and help someone feel more confident.
Why I Became an Educator
After years of working as a PMU artist, other technicians began reaching out to me. They wanted advice. They wanted mentorship. They wanted to learn the techniques I had worked so hard to master.
That’s when I realized there was a need for education — real education. Not rushed courses. Not basic, one-day workshops. Artists needed proper guidance, structure, and feedback.
So I decided to become a PMU educator.
Teaching became another passion. Helping new artists learn the right techniques from the beginning made me feel proud and responsible. I created step-by-step lessons, hands-on training, and supportive mentorship for students at all levels.
Today, I teach:
- Nano brows
- Lip blush
- Eyeliner
- Color correction
- PMU foundations
- Machine skills
- Advanced PMU techniques
My goal is to help every student feel confident, skilled, and ready to build their own career.
Teaching With Heart, Patience & Precision
Education, for me, is not just showing how to tattoo brows or lips. It’s about teaching the mindset behind the work:
- how to analyze a face
- how to choose the right pigment
- how to create balance and harmony
- how to communicate with clients
- how to perform safely and ethically
- how to build a brand and attract clients
- how to continue improving even after certification
I always tell my students:
“PMU is not just a procedure — it’s trust.”
Clients trust you with their face, their comfort, and their confidence. That is why proper education matters so much. When artists learn the right way, they succeed. When they succeed, their clients are happy. And that is what makes our industry strong.
Building Victoria Studio: A Place for Beauty & Growth
Victoria Studio became the home of this journey. I wanted a place where clients could feel at peace, trust the process, and enjoy natural, beautiful results. I also wanted a space where students could learn, practice, and discover their own talent.
Everything in the studio — from the lighting to the equipment — is built with quality, safety, and comfort in mind.
Today, the studio offers:
- Lip Blush
- Nano Brows
- Eyeliner PMU
- Brow shaping
- Lash lifts
- PMU training & certification
It has become a space where beauty and education come together.
What I’ve Learned Along the Way
My journey as a PMU artist and educator has taught me many lessons:
1. Growth never stops.
There is always a new technique, a new trend, or a new skill to learn.
2. Quality matters more than speed.
Great results come from patience and precision.
3. Education changes lives.
Helping students build a career is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
4. Confidence is beautiful.
Whether it’s a client getting new brows or a student mastering a technique — confidence is the real transformation.
Looking Ahead
I’m still growing. I’m still learning. And I’m still excited for every new client and every new student who walks through the door. Permanent makeup has changed my life, and now I get to use it to change the lives of others.
